Shannon is a
CPDT-KA, AKC Evaluator, and is working towards her
Canine Behavior Consultant Certification. As a positive-reinforcement trainer, Shannon uses scientifically proven methods to teach dogs new skills, modify existing behavior, and to condition new responses. Training Offers
Private In-Home 1 Hour Session: $85/hr *This includes travel up to 15 miles from Orford, NH*
Private On-Site 1 Hour Session: $75/hr
2 Hour Behavioral Consultation: $120. This initial session includes observations of your dog's behavior in their home environment, a gathering of your dog's behavior history, and the immediate showcase of first steps to begin managing the behavior. This is for dogs needing behavior modification plans implemented.
Day Training: 1 Hour Private Session while your dog is here for Daycare or Boarding: $65/hr, $50/hr for puppies under 6 months
What can she teach?
Basic Skills for all ages of dogs, including but not limited to the following cues and behaviors:
Recall/"Come", Down, Stay, Place, Leave It, Watch Me, Wait, Drop, Heel/Loose Leash Walking, Off-leash Recall, Off.
Behavior Modification for the following: General reactivity, leash reactivity, protective behaviors, biting, resource guarding, socialization dog-to-dog and dog-to-human, and much more! Shannon specializes in working with reactive and aggressive dogs.
Tricks:
Over 100+ tricks to choose from! Shannon has trained dogs for films and commercials--the sky is the limit!

Shannon is able to test dogs for their Canine Good Citizen, Urban Canine, and Advanced CGC titles with or without private instruction! The AKC Evaluator cost is a $75 flat fee for the test, including feedback on how to improve if your dog does not pass. Location for testing TBD on a case-by-case basis.

We are so excited to announce our first group training classes here at Woodcrest!
Group classes offer a higher level of distraction for our dogs, socialization opportunities, and further set up our dogs for success in the real world. Plus, they are FUN!
These group classes will be held in our half-acre outdoor play yard and will be weather dependent.
AK
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy
will begin Saturday 4/12 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM and run for 6 weeks. We have up to 2 slots available.
Canine Good Citizen Level 1
will begin Saturdays 4/12 from 11:00AM - 12:00PM and Tuesdays 4/15 from 6:15PM - 7:15PM.
We have 4 slots open, two for each weekday. This also runs for 6 weeks. This class is 1/3--(think beginner, intermediate, advanced/CGC test)
Intro to Agility
will begin 4/14 from 6:15PM- 7:15PM and run for 6 weeks. We have two slots available!
Each course is $200 and will run for 6 weeks.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy
For dogs 1 year of age and younger.
This class is a fantastic balance of dog-to-dog socializing, dog-to-human socializing, and all of the important basics! In this course, we focus on your puppy’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We cover a broad range of subjects to help owners set their puppies up for success in their homes as well as in this crazy world! The class runs for 6 weeks.
AKC Trick Dog (Novice)
This class is sure to be the MOST fun!! We cover 10 tricks over a 6 week period, using science-based positive reinforcement methods. Your dog must have polite behavior in a group class setting, but this class is open to ALL experience levels and ages! These are the tricks taught for the Novice Title:

Canine Good Citizen Level 1
This class is the first of 3! This class is 6 weeks long and teaches foundational skills for dogs and their owners that are looking to take the Canine Good Citizen test! Most foundational and beginner behaviors are covered in this beginner course, including but not limited to: Place, Heel/Loose Leash Walking, Stay, Recall, and much more!
Intro to Agility
Agility is one of the most active and confidence-building activities you can do with your dog! This class will require foundational skills in all class participants, including recall around distractions and neutrality towards other dogs and strangers.
Your dog will be exposed to all basic agility equipment and will gain foundational skills in off-leash directionals and targeting!
