#project365 – A Wicked 365
This year I am going to be trying something new with the photo daily, a 365 project. What is a 365 project? Well, it’s anything that you want it to be really. The only rule is that you must post a photo each day for 365 days in a row, and even that is negotiable. Traditionally a project 365 starts on the first of a new year.
However, A Wicked 365 started.yesterday with our Happy Holidays eCard. From here on out you will get to enjoy a new photo of Wicked (Woodcrest Wicked Wishcraft) each day for the next year (even on the weekends!). The title of the project: A Wicked 365. For my project there will be a couple additional constraints. First, the photos are all going to be taken with a cell phone camera because it’s convenient, quick, and easy, but also because I like the idea of taking good photos with minimal equipment and improving the quality of each photo over time. Don’t worry, the high quality images that have always been featured here will continue along with your submitted photos, the #project365 is just a new addition. Also, each picture will have been taken within 24 hours of posting, this is to ensure that I don’t take a bunch of photos on one day and then schedule the posting in advance.
When possible I might include a description with the photo, but you will know the project photos from the I encourage you to create and share your own #project365. It’s a pretty simple concept that I think you would get great enjoyment out of doing. For all you Facebook fanatics out there it is also a great place to share your project photos with everyone (FlickR and Twitter also work great for this).
